I feel like we packed as much as we possibly could into this past weekend. The weather was gorgeous & we had lots of fun family time. We kicked off the weekend by heading to the park for a little playtime before dinner. Palmer insisted on sitting in the very front of the swing & leaning forward, but he sure did love it- I think these smiles prove it!
He also loved watching the water from the pier- he was so focused on the waves and...
... the bark on this tree.
Palmer also enjoyed putting his climbing skills to good use on the playground & quickly found his favorite part- the slide.
Saturday, we headed back to the island for a little pumpkin patch fun. It was a workout for mommy & daddy, but I think Palmer enjoyed it. He went straight for the little pumpkins- they were just his size. He was pretty proud to carry them around.
These next 2 pictures sum up our trip the pumpkin patch pretty well... Palmer thought these pumpkins were balls meant for throwing and climbing/walking on. He didn't see a sea of orange pumpkins before him, he saw a sea of orange balls! So, much of Mike's time was spent trying to prevent these actions:)
Showing mommy his tiny little pumpkin!
We actually spent more on baked goods than we did pumpkins- oops! We haven't given Palmer cake since his birthday party, so I thought it would be fun to give him one of the cupcakes we bought after he finished his lunch. It was pretty entertaining- much like his smash cake, he was slow getting into it, but by the end, he was all business. Aunt Coco, I think we have another cupcake fan in the family:)

A taste from daddy to get started was all it took. |
|
"Hmmm, I think I like this." |
|
"I can't waste the icing on the spider!" |
|
Daddy cut into it to get him started... |
|
... and then he started shoveling... |
|
... and shoveling... |
|
... and shoveling... |
|
... to the very end! |
We capped off the weekend with a little sidewalk chalk drawing & wagon ride around the neighborhood.
That's our weekend wrap-up folks:)
